Allegation of anomalies in road construction

Villagers from Hadanpara under Ward No. 8 of Kokrajhar Municipality Board have performed open puja along the newly constructed Pucca Road in Kokrajhar town to put protest and alleged of huge anomalies at the road construction in the village.

 Villagers come out on the road to inspect the construction which has been eroded on pre-monsoon rain just after few days of its completion of constructions.

The road construction scheme was sanctioned amounting of Rs.24.75 lakhs under BTC Special Central Assistant (SCA) for 2015-16 financial years to construct CC Road from Hadanpara main road to Jugami House in Kokrajhar, which saw completion of constructions few days back with drawbacks penetrated huge anomalies by constrictors in the road construction. The construction was done by locally known contractors, who are govt employee too, said villagers. The villagers sounding strong allegation of huge anomalies along the road construction said that the road was completed by half done as saw very poor quality of construction materials used.

Protesting the poor quality construction of road, villagers performed an open puja along the newly constructed road cited that it is not acceptable road as constructed by contractors. They alleged that only 4-5 lakhs have spent in the road construction out of sanctioned 24.75 lakhs in the village. They demanded early inquiry into alleged huge anomalies on road construction to pave way reconstruction of road in the village.
