Arunachal Highlander and Mizo Falcons wins their matches in NEFL

Guwahati: Northeast Futsal League (NEFL) is being played in NC Bordoloi Indoor , Sarusajai Guwahati, Assam. It is India’s first-ever mixed-gender futsal league, which will feature six teams in total, will be played over a period of seven days (25th-31th August, 2019).

In the first match, Arunachal showed a comprehensive performance to snacth a win against Meghalaya Thunders, Paula Boza Gil from Spain playing for Arunachal becomes 1st female player of the league to score, she scored both the goals.Francis was the lone scorer for Meghalaya as the Match ended in a 2-1 win for Arunachal.

In the second match Mizo Falcons won against Apunba Manipur 3-2. For Mizo Falcons their captain Alan scored 1and Michael scored 2 goals. Md Yasir and Md Shah Jahan scored one each for Manipur.All the matches will be streamed online on official YouTube channel.

Nagaland Super 5 Vs Arunachal Highlander (6pm-7pm)

The NEFL is a brainchild of Proclivity sports and Recreation Pvt Ltd or PSR, owned by Mr. Ranajit Mahanta and Biswajit Mahanta. It is aimed to create and develop a sustainable foundation for the sport of Futsal as a sporting career alternative for the athletes of Assam and Northeast India, by providing the best education, facilities and showcases to participate in the game. NEFL will be the first major sports, involving all eight Northeast states of India. The League is supported by Airtel, Viva Football, Perfect Football,National Insurance,Vibes Mojo and Matches will be broadcasted on Assam Talks, LPS and Impact TV.

Dr Biswajit Deuri (gastro) from the city based Ayursundra Hospital conducted the weekly evening OPD clinic at Guwahati Press Club (GPC) on Saturday (26 August). Nearly 20 participants joined the camp and received necessary consultations from the physician. Dipak Bania from the hospital assisted in conducting the clinic. A local session court in Guwahati exonerated a prominent business man from a sensational murder case 22 years back. In its final judgment on Tuesday, the court rejected the charge sheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation who indicted Bhagya Kalita of murdering Karabi  Das and her younger daughter Dubari. But the court took 22 years to exempt the businessman from this sensational case which took place at Chandmari in Guwahati in 1995.
The city based GNRC Hospital conducted the Saturday evening OPD clinic at Guwahati Press Club on 19 August for the benefit of GPC member-journalists along with their dependents. Senior cardiologist Dr Sanjib Kumar Sangma checked the status of over 35 participants and offered free consultations to them. A special court in Guwahati sent Rakesh Paul to 14 days police custody hours after Bhangagarh police station rearrested the former APSC chairman who procured bail three days back.  Police rearrested Paul acting on a complaint that he received ₹50,000 advance from a candidate to ensure selection of the candidate.
