"Today is most saddest day for the entire nation as we have lost one of the dynamic leader Arun Jaitley", said Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, after paying homage infront of the portrait of the Former Union Finance Minister.
Sonowal graced here at Hojai Stadium on Saturday as the Chief Guest, were he was to be honoured by All Assam Agarwood Planters and Traders Welfare Samittee for the historic decision made by BJP government on July 22,2019 to approve new Industrial and Investment policy of Assam, which will boost for the agarwood planters in the State
But unfortunately due to the sudden demise of former union minister, this feliciation programme was cancelled.
Chief Minister said Arun Jaitley has contributed alot for the upliftment of Nation.
"His remarkable works for the bettering lives of the common people will always inspire us all, he urged everyone to pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul", Sonowal added.
CM further said," Today I will not say much but he assured the people that their party is continuously working for the easement of Agarwood business in Assam."
Local MLA Shiladitya Dev said, "Worldwide Hojai is famous for agarwood, after the historic decision to legalise agarwood by BJP government, now people from all around are going to visit here in huge quantity, so he proposed CM to develop market complex for agarwood business in islamnagar along with different parts of the district."
Mostak Anfar, State President, Jamiat-Ulma-E-Hind, asserted that Modi's Sabka Sath Sabka Vikash mission is completely successful.
"To keep away Muslim community from BJP some people use to threaten us that BJP government is anti-muslim but the actual scene is totally opposite."
Habib Mohammad Choudhury, President, All Assam Agarwood Planters and Traders Welfare Samittee lauded the efforts of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal for the agarwood community.
He said," What in last 25 years has not happened this government has done within three years."
A memorandum related to agarwood business was also submitted to the Chief Minister by All Assam Agarwood Planters and Traders Welfare Samittee.
Earlier, at very outset one minute condelence was also kept.
Chandra Mohan Patowary, State Cabinet Minister, Angoor Lata, MLA Batardava,Sibu Mishra, MLA Lumding and many other dignitaries were present on the dais.
