Rape and murder attempt rocks Doboka

HOJAI: The Doboka police in Hojai is looking for Jotan Debnath a day after he tried to kill his niece for failing to sexually exploit her.

The incident took place on Tuesday at a tiny hamlet in Doboka were Juton tried to rape the minor girl in the evening in the absence of her parents.

As he tried to assault her for refusing compromise, the victim ran out of her home to be rescued by the police who have registered a case.

Many local organizations and individuals have demanded stern punishment against Juton who is on the run.

Body of 14 years old Sumit Baspor S/O Sambhu Baspor and resident of Harijan Colony rescued on Saturday Morning. Twenty-year-old boy brutally murdered

In a sensational incident, one Ramanand Bora (20) was killed by his neighbour at Dakhin Bidyanagar in Hojai on Friday night. As per information, neighbour Deepak Rajkhowa repeatedly stabbed Ramanand with a sharp weapon.
