Health department to shut down 5 nursing home and 21 labs in Golaghat
Golaghat Dist. Administration under instruction from Assam Health Department orders immediate closure of five privately runed Nursing Homes and twenty one pathological lab operating in Golaghat Dist. This order came as a result of the sheer violation of the govt. rules and regulation by these privately operated health establishments, which include non renewal of their licence, deceiving people with fake documents etc. Complying with the direction of the state health department, Golaghat Dist. Administration has already shut down seven x-ray clinic and pathological lab in the district. The Nursing Homes which came under the scanner of State Health Department includes Dergaon Nursing Home and Diagnostic Research Centre, GBM Nursing Home, HGM Nursing Home, Vivekananda Kendra NRL Nursing Home and Lifeline Hospital and Research Centre. These nursing homes alleged to have running their business without having necessary documents and renewing their licence for a long period of time.
