Kokrajhar: Kokrajhar is gearing up to host an international trade fair. Courtesy Bodo Writers Academy, an organisation of Bodo writers where the leaders are preparing to hold the event from March 10 at the Bodofa Cultural Complex in Kokrajhar.
The fair will mark the 34th Foundation Day of the Bodo Writers Academy and Bodoland Book Fair which would be continued till March 20. The trade and Book fair has been associated by national Book Trust(NBT) and Sahitya Academy of India. A multi-poets meet is also being organised in which noted poets across the country and writers area participating.
Nearly 100 stalls from different states,apart from foreign countries Bhutan,Bangladesh,Indonesia are participating the trade to showcase their goods as well as food items. It needs to be mentioned that the trade fair will commence from March 10.
Chairman of National Book Trust(NBT) Dr Baldeo Bhai Sharma will grace as chief guest while BTC deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary will inaugurate the celebration on March 16. Balinese & Engish Writer from Indonesia Sonia Piscayanti will grace as chief guest while BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary will attend as inaugurator on the concluding day on March 20.
Speaking the reporters today at a Press Conference held at reception committee office in Kokrajhar,Ranen Chandra Mushahary,general secretary of the Bodo Writers Academy said that necessary arrangements and communications are so far made to host the trader and book fair in Kokrajhar.
