Blast: Narrow escape for passenger train

Hundreds of people had a narrow escape from a major incident, when a powerful blast took place in Gossaigaon minutes after the Howrah-Guwahati down Garibrath Express passed Goabari in Kokrajhar district. There was no casualty or injury.
The bomb is believed to have been planted by the anti-talk faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland which exploded at 1:10 in the wee hours two minutes after the train passed the area between Gossaigaon and Fakiragram. But it blew up three feet of railway track and left a two feet deep crater at the spot.

Train services were affected for about five hours following the incident and later it was restored. Security forces have launched a search operation to nab the ultras.
