Focus on Anukul philosophy

TANGLA: Nearly two thousand disciples of Thakur Anukulchandra from various parts of the state thronged Satsang Vihar in Tangla on Sunday to mark the 31st Foundation Day.
 Apart from religious songs and prayers throughout the day, a discussion on Thakur’s philosophy and universal peace was also held on the occasion.

 Retired Principal of V.B.P High School,Kopati, Pradip Malakar presided over the function flanked by Dr. N.C Mitra who delivered sermon on the ocassion.

“Satsang Vihar is a movement that promotes amity and tolerance among people, irrespective of their religious affiliations. Thakur's philosophy on the values of humanity is extremely relevant in today's world," Pradip Malakar said.
The Tangla Satsang Vihar was inaugurated by Acharya Dev Sri Sri Dada way back in March 1987.

A 20-old housewife sustained severe burn injury  after her husband poured kerosene on her shoulder and set her ablaze at Gandhibasti locality of Tangla. Reportedly the drunk husband assaulted her before setting her on fire. The incident occured a fortnight ago,but the husband and his family members had not reported the incident to the family members of the victim. Two girl childs were rescued by Tangla GRP from Murkongselek-Rangia Dn Passenger express at 4.30 pm at Tangla Railway station today. There were accompanied by three youths namely Maram Ali, Saidul Ali and Nuruddin Ali. The youths who are in their early 20's are an inhabitant of Khandigar near Rangia of Kamrup. “If there is any community in the State which is exploited and deprived economically and socio-politically, it is none other than the Adivasi community.” This was observed by Rihon Daimari, State Food and Civil Supply and PHE Minister at Orangajuli market complex ground in Udalguri on Tuesday. Daimari attended the open session as chief guest marking the killings of eight protesters who died of bullet wounds during a 12-hour strike to demand ST status for Adivasis, way back in July 25, 2003. Rameshwar Lalji Mewara a noted buisinessman and philantrophist of Tangla left for his heavenly abode at his own residence due to old age ailments .He was 90. He was actively associated with various social and religious institutions like Tangla Vishnu Mandir, Tangla Chamber of Commerce.He leaves behind his four sons ,two daughters and a host of relatives and well wishers.His death was widely mourned by Jayanta Bhattacharya Assistant General Secretary AASU,Udalguri district committee AASU have also expressed deep condolences at his demise. The Zubeen Fan Club members of Udalguri inspired by singer Zubeen Garg went on a collection drive on the streets of Tangla town for the flood affected people on Tuesday. Nearly 25 members led by its President Gunjit Mahanta and Secretary Kaushik Das visited weekly market,banks and commercial establishments . Pramila Daimari has been selected to represent India in Womens Archery team for Berlin 2017 Hyundai Archery World Cup Stage 4 to be held in Berlin of Germany from August 8 - 13 2017 next. Udalguri District Archery Association has extemded their greetings to the archerer.It is to be mentioned that she is from Dahlahabi village of Khagrabari near Bhergaon of Udalguri.She is the second daughter of Obiram Daimari and Renubala Daimari.
