Focus on Anukul philosophy
TANGLA: Nearly two thousand disciples of Thakur Anukulchandra from various parts of the state thronged Satsang Vihar in Tangla on Sunday to mark the 31st Foundation Day.
Apart from religious songs and prayers throughout the day, a discussion on Thakur’s philosophy and universal peace was also held on the occasion.
Retired Principal of V.B.P High School,Kopati, Pradip Malakar presided over the function flanked by Dr. N.C Mitra who delivered sermon on the ocassion.
“Satsang Vihar is a movement that promotes amity and tolerance among people, irrespective of their religious affiliations. Thakur's philosophy on the values of humanity is extremely relevant in today's world," Pradip Malakar said.
The Tangla Satsang Vihar was inaugurated by Acharya Dev Sri Sri Dada way back in March 1987.

A total of ten promising athletes have been selected to represent Assam at Vishakhapattanam of Andhra Pradesh to participate in the 15th junior national inter district athletic meet to be held from November 24 to November 26 next. This was informed to this correspondent by Samuel Daimari, honorary general secretary of Udalguri district Athletic Association. Yet another wild elephant is believed to have died of food poisoning in Udalguri district sending shock and anger among the animal lovers across the state. The Udalguri police nabbed two bike lifters and found four two wheelers from their possession on Thursday. A biker died when a speeding dumper rammed into the two wheeler on the Mangaldai-Bhutiachang road on Sunday. A cyclist was run over by a speeding stone carrying dumper (AS 27 C 1972)on Mangaldai-Bhutiachang road near Garuajhar under Panery PS in Udalguri district on Tuesday morning.The deceased was identified as Tafazul Haque(12).
