69th R-Day celebrated at Tangla

TANGLA, Jan 27: The 69th Republic Day was celebrated with pomp and gaiety at Tangla. EAC Bhergaon,Rittutam Bora unfurled  the national flag at Tangla HS School play ground in the presence of a seizable gathering. .Speaking on the occasion he requested people to maintain peace in the society and to remember those who had sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the nation. He reiteirated the goodwill schemes of PM Modi led government including PMGAY,Swach Bharat among others.Twenty contingents of NCC,Scouts and Guides and teams of various local schools took part in march past event.The students of Sadhna Sangeet Kala Academy also entertained the audience by their performance. While Tangla HS school,Tangla English Medium HS (TEMHS), Don Bosco High School won first three places respectively.

TANGLA: The Tangla Police,solving the kidnapping case of a minor girl who was missing since June 27 last,apprehended four persons and rescued the minor girl on Sunday. UDALGURI: The last wage agreement signed between Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS) and the Consultative Committee of Plantation Associations (CCPA), Assam Valley branch, expired on December 31 last year and till date the new wage agreement has not been signed.
