New Bangla weekly from Hojai

A new Bangla weekly hits the news and views stand from Hojai a day after local legislator Shiladitya Dev and senior journalist Amal Gupta released it.

Named as "Hojai Darpan" Edited by Sanjit Sarkar, the weekly aims at focusing the local and national issues in Bangla..

Speaking on this occasion Shiladitya Dev said that,"This was much awaited, we needed a newspaper which wholly focus on Hojai District and its core activities, We should co-operate and support this paper for its longevity."

Manvendra Pratap Singh, Deputy Commissioner Hojai District said," Hojai has its own heritage and culture, I think this newspaper will highlight the important issue's of the people, which were not given importance till now."

The meeting was graced by Arup Chakraborty,Senior Journalist, Dharmendra Das, Assistant Superintendent of Police, SH Chaudhaury, President Markazul Ma'ariff and many other dignitaries were present on the dias.
