Akhil unwell, admitted in AMCH

KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi is undergoing treatment at the Assam Medical College Hospital in Dibrugarh where he was admitted a couple of hours back on Friday. 

Gogoi, who had been languishing in Dibrugarh Central Jail since he was arrested for his objectionable speech at a meeting, was rushed to the hospital in the morning. 

After a two hour long medical test, the doctors suggested the authorities to admit him for a better treatment of skin infection which he complained inside the jail. 

A month after he was arrested for his objectionable speech, Gogoi later was arrested under the National Security Act.

NAMRUP: Army claimed to have apprehended a dreaded ULFA-I rebel a month after he unleashed a reign of terror by firing in Borhat tea garden. He was trapped on March 3. But army have disclosed it only on Sunday. Army’s DAO division who apprehended the rebel has not disclosed the name and claimed to have seized a pistol , four rounds  of live bullets, six extortion letters , mobile phone and driving license.

Altogether 2,55, 697 candidates are appearing in the examination conducted by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council in 823 centres. In yet another initiatives that draws huge applause from the people, DAO division Army based in Sapekhati opened a classroom at  M V School Rangabam in Charaideo district on Wednesday.   Army officials, students and teachers along with their parents attended the brief function in the morning. The new classroom will be able to accommodate more than 150 students from the adjoining villages. Those who attended the brief function heaped praised on the initiative to facilitate the students in the entire area.

Namrup: Toklimara, a tiny hamlet in Charaideo district has reasons to heave a sigh of relief. The villagers have no word to say how they feel it after army’s Dao division organized a free medical camp on Tuesday. Organized by the Sapekhati based army camp, the medical camp evoked huge response when medical officer from Joypur Army camp attended more than 400 patients who received free counseling and medicines.
