Tremor shakes Manipur again

A 4 magnitude earthquake no less struck panic in the northeastern state of Manipur on Friday. Originated in Ukhrul, the tremor was felt across the state at 10.04 in the evening forcing many people in the high rise buildings to come down to the open space.

“As I was watching television, suddenly I came to feel the jolt as the clock struck at 10.4 in the evening. Then I switched off the light and cams out of my house to the open space,” said Rasin Devi, a local resident of Imphal.

Chief of Army Staff visits Manipur

7 hurt in clash over land in Manipur

Imphal, Dec 16 (NENA): Seven villagers were injured, one of them seriously, after violent clash erupted between two groups at L Tangnaum (Harapthel) village under Sapormeina Police Station over an ongoing land dispute on Saturday. Chingsubam Rame, 45, got hit by a bullet during the clash that happened around noon, sources said. Attack on Assam Rifles convoy in Kamjong

IMPHAL: Manipur on Saturday averted a Chandel district like militant attack when a group of rebels made an abortive attempt on an Assam Rifles convoy in Kamjong. New step to promote Manipur tourism
