School teacher duped

Beware. Frauds are moving around you. The latest victim is a school teacher who had to hand over his ATM details acting on a wrong information by a fraudster. 

It took place in Dimakuchi where Sita Ram Das, a resident of Nonai Khas village in Udalguri received a call asking for details of his SBI account citing the enforcement of GST. 

Later, he found that ₹50,000 has been withdrawn from his account.

ATM frauds are a growing menace these days. The latest trick seems to be fraudsters citing GST as the reason why they need the bank details as has been in a case where a school teacher was duped by a fraudstar in sharing his S.B.I bank account details and later he found that an amount nearly of Rs. 50,000 has been debited. 

 

When asked his home branch officials denied asking for any details of his account much to a major disappointment of the venture school teacher.

NDFB(S) linkman apprehended in Tangla

UDALGURI: Based on specific input the Tangla police apprehended a suspected NDFB (S) linkman from Tangla railway station on Tuesday evening. The linkman identified as Raju Boro,29 who is an inhabitant of Barodala village under Barabari P.S of Baksa district. Police also recovered a .22 pistol from his possession. UDALGURI: The fury of wild jumbos continous unabated at Indo-Bhutan border villages in Udalguri.The Borengabari villagers near Ghagra are being frequented by wild jumbos every night as a result of which the villagers are spending sleepless nights.
