Bomb hoax in Nagaon town

A bomb hoax triggered huge panic in Nagaon on Monday forcing the deployment of security to deal with the situation arising thereof.

The hoax originated from an unmanned object spotted lying at the District Court premises  in the morning. Those inside and outside the office mistaken it as bomb and allowed the panic to spread. 

Policemen came and checked the object with a metal detector. But it was a plastic object which was not explosive.

Incidents of animals, specially deer straying out of the Kaziranga National Park have taken during the “Controlled Burning” – a forest management technique. On March 21, some Deers strayed into the nearby village of Jyotipur while the controlled burning was taking place in one part of the Park.
