Drug peddlers, users held at Moreh

 In a drug drive, a team of police led by Tengnoupal Superintendent of Police Dr S Ibomcha arrested four drug peddlers, including two women and 15 drug users yesterday.

The drive was carried out at Moreh Ward No.4. The four drug peddlers were caught with 4 gm of heroin, 240 pieces of WY tablets, 320 of other intoxicant tablets and seven bottles of WY.

The arrested were identified as H Shamo, resident of Moreh Ward No.4, Dimmu Mandim and Khaipou Zou, both residents of MOreh Ward No.2 and L Bishe, resident of Moreh Ward No.5.

According to police, investigation has revealed that the arrested are mostly hailing from Neighbouring Myanmar.

Chief of Army Staff visits Manipur

7 hurt in clash over land in Manipur

Imphal, Dec 16 (NENA): Seven villagers were injured, one of them seriously, after violent clash erupted between two groups at L Tangnaum (Harapthel) village under Sapormeina Police Station over an ongoing land dispute on Saturday. Chingsubam Rame, 45, got hit by a bullet during the clash that happened around noon, sources said. Attack on Assam Rifles convoy in Kamjong

IMPHAL: Manipur on Saturday averted a Chandel district like militant attack when a group of rebels made an abortive attempt on an Assam Rifles convoy in Kamjong. New step to promote Manipur tourism
