Marital arts training

The Kickboxing Association of Bodoland Territorial Council is going to start a martial arts and self defense training camp in Kokrajhar to impart training.

Nripendra Chandra Roy, president of the association while addressing the Press Conference at Kokrajhar Press Club on Monday told that the association will organise a training camp from June 20 next to impart training among coming up generation nad citizens at Titaguri Irakdao community hall in Kokrajhar. He said  that the martial arts and self defense is very much required in today’s era as human life becoming very risky.

The association has been organising self defense camp in various schools in BTAD region since few years where girl/women were imparted training on self defense to protect herself from critical situation while arises, Roy said.

Bodoland University gets 12B status

ABMSU demands implementation Assam Accord

KOKRAJHAR: The All BTC Minority Students Union (ABMSU) has demanded proper implementation of the 6th Clause of the historic Assam Accord with letter and spirit. ABMSU also demands clarification of the terms 'indigenous' (Khilongia) which has been marked in the Assam Accord. Speaking to the media at Kokrajhar Press Club on Thursday, ABMSUB president Abu Sayed Anchari and secretary Nazrul Islam said that the people of the state wants properly implementation of the 6th Clause of the Assam Accord which was regarded as a 'raksha kabash' in the state. Serial blast victims cry for compensations

KOKRAJHAR: A floral tribute and candle lighting rally  was organised on Wednesday evening in Kokrajhar town on the day of serial blasts on October 30 which claimed many lives and injuried many. KOKRAJHAR: In a shocking incident, a mother sold her own two and six months old baby boy to a couple of Sarupetat due to severe poverty. NDFB-S cadres held
