BTAD TET Teachers’ Association has warned for indefinite hunger strike from October 2 next if their jobs were not regularized within September 30 of this month. The association today stages 5-hour sit-in-demonstration at Rashmela ground in Kokrajhar demanding early regularization of jobs in BTAD four districts. Hundreds of TET teachers from four districts of BTAD with banner, placards participated the sit-in-demonstration and shouted slogans demanded regularization services of TET teachers under SSA within BTAD and bringing the servicers of BTAD appointed TET qualified candidates under SSA. A memorandum was submitted to Director of Education, BTAD seeking early regularization of jobs and appoints teachers under NCTE norms to facilitate good educational environment in the region.
Teachers’ association slammed the education department, BTAD said that the education department has been tactically deprived the TET teachers in the region.
Jitendra Sutradhar and Debasrwn Brahma, association leaders told that there over 2100 teachers are working as TET teachers under SSA in BTAD districts,but their job is not been regularizes. They demanded their jobs be regularized and make healthy educational situation.They have warned to take mass hunger strike from October 2 if their demand and issues are not meet by September 30 of this month.
“We put pressure BTAD education department to meet early regularization of jobs,but BTAD has not been taken any steps to the demands. We will take mass hunger strike from October 2 next if our demands are not meet as soon as possible”, agitated association leaders said.
