Training on Swachch Bharat Mission starts

A six day master trainers’ training programme on integrated & sustainable solid & liquid resource management (SLRM) project under Swachch Bharat Mission,was started from Monday at Bodofa Cultural complex in Kokrajhar district. The training has been emphasizes garbage to god bringing healthy awareness among citizen and engaged volunteers.

Nearly 250 volunteer participants from five districts of the lower Assam,which included Kokrajhar, Chirang, Goalpara,Bongaigaon, Dhubri participated the training,which was organised by Kokrajhar Municipality Board and Kokrajhar town committee. The training would be concluded on March 25.

C Srinivasan,project director of SLRM from Vellore attended has imparted training among trainers. He said that it is a noble venture initiated under Swachch Bharat Mission to make neat and clean in India. The human life should take swachch steps to make a healthy life, he said.

Doneswar Goyary, BTC executive member, Bibekananda Choudhury,Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner were graced as guests in the inaugural session of the training programme.

Choudhury lauded the initiative taking from municipality board while imparting training for master trainers for several districts of lower Assam.

KOKRAJHAR: The All BTC Minority Students Union (ABMSU) has demanded proper implementation of the 6th Clause of the historic Assam Accord with letter and spirit. ABMSU also demands clarification of the terms 'indigenous' (Khilongia) which has been marked in the Assam Accord.
