Theft bid in SBI Bhergaon foiled

Sensation has been prevailing in the area following failed attempt of theft in State Bank of India Bhergaon branch under Tangla PS of Bhergaon subdivision. Reportedly on Thursday night theives entered the bank premises by breaking window panes. It is to be mentioned that the branch which was inaugurated on April 3,2012 it's ATM machine was looted by miscreants on 28 November 2014. The ATM service has not been restored from the date.

The bank security personals and police recovered a LPG gas cylinder,oxygen cylinder and iron cutter from the bank premises. The CCTV camera were also disrupted by the miscreants. The SBI branch which has near about 60K customers, is transacted by nearly 200 customers everyday but yet for long it has been alleged that the bank lacks proper security and adequate staff. Jagadish Sarkar BTC EM visited the spot and urged the police authorities to arrest the miscreants involved.

UDALGURI: Based on specific input the security forces in a joint operation apprehended a NDFB (S) cadre from No. 2 Merabil area under Mazbat PS in Udalguri on Monday evening. UDALGURI: A 30-year-old man allegedly hacked his father to death at their house in Barangabari near Dimakuchi in Udalguri district on Saturday night over a trivial dispute.
