Tangla Press Club expells Secretary Rudra Deka

Tangla Press Club (TPC) expelled it's secretary Rudra Deka with immediate effect from the post of the Secretary of the club on allegation of collection of money in the name of the institution. In a meeting held at TPC  on Tuesday, the secretary was removed on allegation of unconstitutional moves and disruption of unity among the members the journalist.

The SSB jawans of 61 battalion nabbed six persons with 340 kg ganja (cannabis) and 251 bottles of liquor from the Arunachal- Assam border jungle area on Sunday. They have also seized a Wagon R car (AS-27, 6492) when they found the 251 bottles of liquor being taken illegally. Ransai Daimari (19) and Topeswar Kisan (35) of Pathakpur, Majbat were nabbed from the forest areas of Dhansiri Tea Estate with 230 kg ganja. The Udalguri district committee of All Bathou Mahasabha is going to celebrate its four-day silver jubilee programme at Sonaisri Fwthar at Harisinga in Udalguri district from February 6 with ‘reform, confirm and prosper’ as its main theme.
