BPF sweeps all four LACs in Udalguri district

BPF has won all the assembly seats in Udalguri district.In 65 Kalaigaon LAC,BPF candidate and former MLA Maheswar Boro has been elected to Assam assembly by defeating nearest AIUDF candidate Natu Ram Boro by 17,638 votes.Maheswar Boro (BPF) bagged 47,203 votes while Nathu Ram Boro (AIUDF) got 29,565 votes.Sitting AGP MLA Mukunda Ram Choudhury remained in third place with 24,286 votes only. In 64 Paneri LAC Kamali Rani Basumatari of BPF defeated nearest UPP candidate Nanda Ram Boro by 14,798 votes. BPF candidate got 38,627 votes against UPP's 22,829 votes. Congress candidate Durga Das Boro (former Assam AGP minister) got only 19,051 votes.In 69 Udalguri (ST) sitting BPF MLA and former minister Rihon Daimari won for third time defeating his nearest candidate Anjali Daimari by a margin of 24,337 votes. Rihon Daimari gor 44,971 votes against 20,634 votes of Anjali Daimari.UPP candidate Dilip Boro could score 19,994 votes in third position.In 70 Mazbat LAC Charan Boro of BPF defeated his nearest candidate Teharu Gaur of AIUDF by margin of 26,217 votes.Charan Boro got 48,349 votes against 22,132 votes of AIUDF candidate. Congress candidate Rapheel Kunjur remained in third position with 20,574 votes.
