Training for counting personnel in Chirang
The training for counting personnel and Micro Observers was held in the conference hall of the Chirang DC's office at Kajalgaon in Chirang district on Tuesday with Dasarath Das,additional DC Chirang in the chair.
Before the training started, thanking the officers for successful conduct of polling without any incidences of ragging, re-polling and any law and order situation, the ADC Das expressed confidence for a peaceful counting of votes as well. He advised all the trainees i.e Micro Observers, Counting Supervisors, Counting Assistants, Gr- IV staff and other officials to acquire thorough knowledge of counting process, proceedings, relevant conduct rules and guidelines of ECI thereby no mistake is committed during counting of votes.
He has directed everyone involed in the counting process to reach the counting centre by 6.30 AM on the counting day on May 19. He said that proper security arrangement would be made inside and outside the counting hall and no one would be allowed to go inside without proper Identity Cards issued by the RO. He briefed about the function of Micro Observers, Counting Supervisors, Counting Assistants and Gr- IV staff and those whoever who would be assigned tasks during the counting process. He expressed hope that with the thorough knowledge and experience of officers and cooperation from the political parties and contesting candidates, the final phase of election process i.e counting would be completed smoothly and peacefully in the district.
It is to be stated that the counting for 31- Sidli (ST) LAC will held at UN Brahma College at Kajalgaon and in this connection, the DEO has already been arranged 14 tables as well as appointed altogether 42 counting officials and 14 Micro Observers with 20% extra reserve. Master trainer Jyotish Chandra Sarma imparted training in details. Apart from other administrative officers, Sidli CO Karmadev Brahma, AC Jitu Kumar Barman, EO Rajiv Das and agents of the contesting candidates were also present in the training programme.

KOKRAJHAR: Citizens in Lower Assam districts including Bodoland Territorial Council have expressed happiness and gladness having found resumed of internet services today after eight days blockade.
The internet service was found resumed at 9 am that saw smilling and happiness environment amongst the citizens in the region.
Earlier, BTC region was made exempted from the disruption of net services from state government on December 10.

KOKRAJHAR: Police arrested five protesters in Kokrajhar on Wednesday who burnt effigies of chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019.
Activists and members from All Assam Nath Yogi Students Union carried out a protest demonstration along the JD Road near District Computer centre in Kokrajhar against the CAB bill and burnt effigies of Sonowal and Sarma. The protestors staged protest demonstration with shouting slogans demanding early withdrawal of the bill.
