Rongali Bihu was celebrated at the Pasighat Namghar and Assamese people come together to celebrate the occasion with great joy. Pasighat MLA Kaling Moyong gracing the occasion as Chief Guest greeted the people on the auspicious occasion and lauded the efforts of the Sri Sri Sankar Guru Kristhi Kendra, Pasighat for organizing the celebration in a befitting manner. He wished for peace and unity and felt that there was a feeling of joy as it was a memorable get-together that enabled all to relive the spirit of Bihu living far away from their homes in Pasighat. Bihu is always a great celebration for the Assamese people and plays a very crucial role in defining the culture of Assam.
Moyong while advising the community to protect and preserved the age-old tradition and culture has said that maintaining cordial relations with the neighboring state Assam will be one of the major priorities of the present government. He also added that tremendous development and transparency brought by the Kalikho Pul led government in all sectors has amazed the people has earning much appreciation in the state.
