Rongali Bihu was celebrated at the Pasighat Namghar and Assamese people come together to celebrate the occasion with great joy. Trees getting uprooted and falling on electrical lines, resulting in hours of power outage is a common phenomenon during monsoon. Normal power supply remains heavily interrupted on the Pasighat-Pangin power line after a huge tree fell on a powerful a electric wire on Monday. Engineers along with departmental staffs have already been pressed into restoration process. It would take two days or more to reconnect the network.
