Model polling station in Kokrajhar

A model polling sttaion with all women staff in the heart of Kokrajhar town in BTAD region ,was attracted peoples’ appreciation on the second pahse of Assam assembly polls that held on Monday in Kokrajhar.

It was the Kokrajhar Girls Higher Secondary school polling centre, where  election commission of India  arranged  a healthy arrangement inside the entire centre,right from beginning entry gate to polling bottom.The centre was fully run by women,who are taking responsibiity like Presiding Officer,Polling Officer during the election.The station have availbiity of facilities like medical aid,handi capped, besides resting house on the day to take care on the day.

D Roy, presiding officer said that the arrangments of giving resposibility to serve peoples duty on the was very laudable and necessary for the coming up generation.

“We are(women) getting very encouragious to be involved with model polling stations’, said Roy.

Irespective of citizens are appreciated that the initiative taken for adopting model polling station in Kokrajhar, by election commission of India was dedicated and excited to see very and beautiful decoration to the second pase in Assam’,a woman voter at model polling station in Kokrajhar.
