The Kokrajhar and Chirang district magistrates promulgated today an order under Section 144 CrPC prohibiting movement of any persons, materials, vehicular traffic of any description from either side of the boder across the Indo- Bhutan falling under Kokrajhar and Chirang district from 6PM of April 10 to 6AM of April 12. This order has been imposed after considering likelihood of subversive activities to be carried by the anti social elements in the district on the day of poll, i.e on April 11, 2016. However, the vehicles of the District Administration, Magistrates, Police, Army and Paramilitary forces are exempted from the purview of this prohibitory order. District magistrates both from Kokrajhar and Chirang have also said that the district administration have fully prepared to conduct the poll free and fair in the districts.
KOKRAJHAR: Airports Authority of India, in its continuous endeavour to link under-served and un-served airports through Regional Connectivity Scheme routes has started its regular flight services at Rupsi Airport in Assam.
The first commercial flight of Flybig airline landed today at 12.07 pm marking the beginning of a new era at Rupsi, in Kokrajhar district of Assam and adjoining area.
