Two killed in thunderbolt hit in Kokrajhar
Two persons were killed and a eight-year-old boy received serious injured following thunderbolt hit early this morning in Kokrajhar district.
According to a villager, the strong thunderstorms hit the men early this morning around 6.30am at Bishmuri area of Kokrajhar district leaving two persons died and a boy received serious injured. They were identified as Kontha Basumatary, 55, of Garlabari Bishmuri and Ashar Soren, 40, of Joypur. The boy who received injured in the incident Ishahan Tudu,was rushed to Kokrajhar RNB civil hospital.

Security forces belonging to police and army, in a joint operation arrested a cadre of National Democratic Front of Boroland-Songbijit faction from Mainaguri area on Tuesday under Kachugaon PS in Kokrajhar district.
