RMC on crack over party supports

Cracks appeared in the Religious Minority Council(RMC),BTC region over the issue of supporting to the Bodoland Peoples Front(BPF) party in the ensuing Assam assembly election.The rift appeared in the council after president Sohrab Khan announced openly that RMC leaves to support the BPF party in the election.

Speaking the reporters on Friday at Kokrajhar Press Club,Rijaul Haque Sarkar,general secretary of the RMC told that the council has not been left the BPF party.We are still with BPF party,who was working all round development and welfare of the region.The reaction come after the Khan addressed the reporters at Kajalgaon in Chirang district on Thursday that RMC announced to leave the ruling party ahead assembly election. Sarkar has denied the statement of Sohrab said that it was his personal view, not of council decision to leave the ruling party in the region.

‘We have no any decision to leave the ruling BPF party at this juncture’,Sarkar adding said that the council still good term with the party and no any decision to step against ruling party. He has accused of that Khan has been maintaining link with Congress to gain his personal benefit that is why he is stating baseless remarks over the RMC in the region.

He has claimed that the RMC has not cracked within organisation,but Khan he hilself making baseless statement to show his personal interest. He also told that the RMC has been scheduled to hold central executive meeting on March 13 at Magurmari in Kokrajhar district and committee would discuss thoroughly over the present situation within organisation. Delegates from ten district committees are participating in the meeting and would discuss on the arisen situation within organisation.The council is likely replace president Khan for his unwanted remarks over supporting political party in the upcoming election.

The Bodoland Peoples Front(BPF) party alleged political conspiracy behind the December 23 carnage by NDFB(S) to monger trouble among the Bodos and non Bodos in the run up to the BTC polls.BPF secretary Prabin Boro told reporters in Kokrajhar on Sunday that the carnage which had claimed over 80 lives in Kokrajhar, Sonitpur and Chirang districts is a fall out of a deep rooted political conspiracy. Kokrajhar police on Saturday have arrested two more hardcore NDFB-S rebels hours after security forces gunned down yet another dreaded NDFB-S militant who unleashed terror on December 23.Police told Assam Times that  the NDFB-S rebels  were apprehended at Kolabari under Serfanguri police station in the Kokrajhar in the evening.Identified as Ganda Basumatary of Padabil and Bullet Basumatary of Ramfalbil, the duo were arrested during an operation conducted by police when they were trying to flee at Kolabari. Police recovered one 7.65 mm pistol, four live bullets from them. 
Security forces on Saturday claimed to have killed a hardcore NDFB-S militant who was involved in the December 23 Adivasi massacre in Kokrajhar.According to Kokrajhar SP Sunil Kumar, identified as Jeblang alias Jagat Basumatary, he was the platoon commander of the anti-talk faction of the outfit. He was killed during a combing operation by police and SSB at a remote area near Serfanguri around 2 in the afternoon.  Security forces are believed to have got the vital lead on the recent Adivasi massacre after they captured seven dreaded NDFB(S) rebels in Kokrajhar on Friday.Interrogation is going on to extract more confession on the gory attack where at least 75 Adivasi innocent people lost their lives in Kokrajhar and Sonitpur on December 23.They were caught during an operation by Army troops of 21 Division under 4 Corps and Kokrajhar Police in Ripu forest of Kokrajhar.According to sources, the arrested rebels include Mathinga and another trained NDFB (S) terrorist. They were part of the action team involved in the carnage.  
NIA Director General Sharad Kumar landed at Bismuri ground in a helicopter to take stock of the carnage of Adivasi area at Lungsung and Ultapani under Bismuri police out post in Kokrajhar district. on Thursday.Kumar was accompanied by IGP(NIA) GP Singh reached at Bismuri at 11 AM and visited the Lungsung and Ultapani and took stock about carnage by NDFB(S) where NIA team have been investigating into carnage since last few days.Kumar also met affected families and shared grief of victimised.The NIA are taking up two cases in connection with the December 23 carnage  in Kokrajhar(case number 557/2014 and 558/2014).
