Carnage mastermind held in Chirang

Security forces claimed to have achieved a major success when they nabbed at least 8 dreaded NDFB-S rebel who was the matermind behind the recent Adivasi carnage along with 7 other top others from Chirang district on Tuesday.

According to information, these notorious rebels were held duirng a joint operation along the Indo-Bhutan border in the morning.

They include the self styled second lieutenant Enon Bargoyary and Rinen Basumatary. He happens to be the chief recruiting officer of the rebel outfit.

According to inputs, he was none but Enon who is believed to be the brain behind the killing of Adivasis on in Kokrajhar district. Apart from it, Enon is allegedly involved in recruiting and motivating his fellow militants which include women who were sent to outside.

Others include Lieutenant Colonel Suneet Newton, Public Relation Officer (Defence) said Enon was very close to outfits SS Chairman IK Songbijit, SS Army Chief G Bedai and Dy Army Chief Batha. Another good catch is Self Styled Platoon Commander of Amteka area, Rinen Basumatary, 20th Batch terrorist trained in Bhutan, who surrendered after Operation All Clear in 2003 but rejoined the outfit.
