Dance workshop at Tangla

Crazy Dance Academy one of the pioneering dance academy of the town founded by Hari Deb Boro and Uttam Dutta has organized dance workshop from 17th to 22nd December,2015. The dance workshop will be supervised by Dance India Dance dancer Michel Syiemiong,Shillong's popular lady choreographer Anniesha Mawrie and popular dancer Suraj Thakur. During these days special dance forms like Popping,Latin Urban,Contemporary,B-Boy would be taught. ' BTC executive member for Cultural Affairs department Bonzar Daimary graced the opening ceremony as chief guest.Over 100 participant and competitors from various parts of the region participated in the workshop and learned about dancing disciplines.The venue of the event is fixed at Bordoloi Bhawan Tangla.

Assam lad,Rajashri Kalita succumbs to COVID

Udalguri: Assamese novelist and Sahitya Akademi Awardee, Arupa Kalita Patangia’s son Rajarshi Kalita succumbed to COVID-19 related complications in New Delhi on Wednesday evening. AHRC takes suo-moto cognizance of doctor assault

UDALGURI: The Assam Human Rights Commission (AHRC) has taken suo motu cognizance of newspaper reports of the alleged incident of police atrocities on a doctor in Chirang district on Friday.  AHRC has issued a notice to the District Magistrate, Chirang  to cause an inquiry into the incident where media reports stated that the Officer-in-Charge of Amguri PS in Chirang District not only assaulted Dr. Madhurjya Kakati, in-charge of the Amteka Mini PHC but also made him to kneel down along with two  others for not wearing masks.
