Fishcol meet held

The annual function of college of fisheries, Assam Agriculture University, at Raha was held on Monday in the presence of several distinguished guests including K.M Bujorboruah, VC, AAU, Jorhat.

The students of the college performed a number of colourful programmes on the occasion. Dr K.k Tamuli ,the I/c dean , college of fisheries, Raha, Dr.Ayub Ali, Dr. Hemendra Chandra Bhattacharyya, director of extension education and physical plant, AAU, Dr.Apurba kumar Chakraborty, director of research (vety.) AAU, Khanapara as well as the students were present on the occasion. 

The programme started with the inaugural speech of the college dean. Prizes were distributed among the the winners of sports events and performers in the academic sphere. 

Anisha Sharma of the college anchored the programme while vote of thanks was offered by Sanjoy Tamuli, vice president, COFSU, Raha. 

K.M.Bujorboruah was the chief guest in the function. He gave away the prizes to the students. The chief guest lauded the performance of the students and encouraged them to work hard so as to excel both in academic and extra-curricular activities.

Dr.K.K.Tamuli i/c , dean, college of fisheries, Raha lauded the teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students for the fine performance of the students.  Dr Rajdeep Dutta, associate professor of the college, was also praised for the making the programme a grand success

Raktim Sharma, General Secretary of the college read out the annual report.
