Pramila condemns Khattar's beef remark
Former Assam Minister and prominent Bodoland People's Front (BPF) MLA Pramila Rani Brahma strongly reacted Haryana Chief Minister Manoharlal Khattar's remarks on beef eating as "unfortunate and condemnable".
Brahma, while talking exclusively to Assam Times has termed remarks from a responsible CM of a state of secular country is condemnable and unwanted in today's era. She said that remarks from Khattar was not suited for the citizens of the country as India is a secular nation. She has urged all sections of the communities to maintain peace and unity so that harmony can't be affected in the region. Brahma has also wished the people a happy Durga Puja.

Former president of Kokrajhar district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Binati Bala Basumatary resigned from her party membership on Monday. Basumatary submitted her resignation letter to the state party president citating personal reason . She was Kokrajhar district BJP president for 2011-2015, who had gained strength of the party through her strong leadership in the district. Three cadres of the NDFB(S) were arrested by security forces in a joint operation belonging to police and army at Hakata village under Barama PS in Baksa district on Sunday. The cadres were identified as Jwangsar Boro @ KK, Mohit Mushahary and Pramod Ramchiary @ Khankari @Raja of Baksa district. They were actively involved in extortion, arms smuggling and other nefarious and anti national activities and Adivasi carnage in December(2014) and had run away and sheltered themselves in Chennai, till their return.
