Statehood day greetings

Nagaland chief minister TR Zeliang have wished the people on the occasion of the statehood day.

In a message issued here on Thursday, Zeliang said,”The second President of India Dr. S Radhakrishnan formally declared Nagaland as the 16th State under the Indian Union at Kohima Local Ground on December 1, 1963 which is an extraordinary day in the political history of Nagaland. Today, as we celebrate Nagaland Statehood, I appeal to the citizens of Nagaland to join hands to make Nagaland a great and prosperous State.”

“I also take this opportunity to welcome the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind to the ‘Land of Festivals’ and ‘Falcon Capital of the World,” said Zeliang.
