Plantation at Gandhi Chowk

“Renaissance Society,” a non government organization carried out a massive plantation in and around the Gandhi Chowk, main market area. The objective of the program was to improve green cover, maintain ecological balance and to ensure sustainable livelihoods.

Raising concern over fast-depleting green cover leading to scanty rainfall, we had appealed the business community of main market area in particular to participate in the mission and received overwhelmed response.
Vice-President Essac Jamoh, General Secretary Atet Moyong and members of Pasighat Market Association also participated in the plantation program.

To create mass awareness, such plantation programs would be held in various locations, informed Chairman Jamoh. This massive plantation is an endeavor towards maintaining the natural greenery and serene beauty of the emerging tourist hub of East Siang District.
