Curious UFO in sky!

An unidentified object hovering around the sky in upper Assam pulled no less spell of curiosity among lakhs of people on Wednesday evening.

Much to the utter surprise and curiosity, the comet like object was spotted in the sky in and around the Naharkatiya area at around 9 in the evening forcing the people to come out of their homes to watch the strange objects. But there was no conclusion even from the experts.

The same object struck the heavy attention of the people in Dibrugarh district on Tuesday night.

 

Meanwhile, ISRO officials in Shillong told Assam Times that they were not aware of such objects in the sky. But they said if it is spotted it might be drones.

whether ISRO or NASA they will never confess that ufos are of extraterrestrial origin...i have witnessed an ufo from the front yard of my house in jorhat,assam, india on 23rd june 2015...the ufo hovered for about 40mins and finally shot off at lightning speed into the night sky..it can travel at the blink of an eye and i dont think that a drone has that technology...if drones can accelerate at lightning speed then we sud able to go for interstellar travel sitting in a drone itself..whatever i saw was nothing made on earth..nothing made om earth has technology to accelerate away and shot off at the speed of lightning

Yes. I live in dibrugarh 2days after this event i saw a ufo around 8pm while i was talking to my friend on phone suddenly i heard a loud noise and the phone's signal was lost.my frined too heard ths noise. I looked up and i saw a big ufo with purple light hovering on top of me. I quickly went inside and called my mom and sister. When they came it went away in a lighting size and became like a star but was moving very fast. My friend also saw the ufo

Death sentence for ULFA boss

Gogoi on stock-taking visit

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi reviewed the situation in Sonitpur district with deputy commissioner Lalit Gogoi and police superintendent Sanyukta Parashar on Thursday.Immediately after laying the foundation stone of the Tezpur Medical College in Tubuki, Gogoi drove to Bihali and condemned the incident.AGP and BJP also rushed their teams to study the situation in the wake of the firing incident.

Blockade in Harmoti

Local people in large number are on an indefinite economic blockade against Arunachal Pradesh in Harmoti a day after the firing incident in Bihali where 10 villagers were killed on Wednesday.Thousands of people in the area blocked the National Highway No 52 to prevent supply of essential commodities to Arunachal Pradesh. Nearly one hundred trucks carrying essential commodities are remaining stranded under the impact of the blockade.

Thousands of people in Lakhimpur and Sonitpur districts have blocked the National Highway No 52 to prevent supply of essential commodities to Arunachal Pradesh in protest against the firing incident in Bihali where 10 villagers were killed on Wednesday.     Protesters thronged the national highway in Borgang and blocked the vehicles bound for Arunachal Pradesh. KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi, who joined the blockade said that the economic blockade would be indefinite.

AASU protest against Cong

AASU activists across the state on Thursday staged dharna in protest against the fielding of Sanjay Singh in the Rajya Sabha polls.Students in districts and sub divisional headquarters hanged  the effigies of Sonia Gandhi, her son Rahul Gandhi, chief minister Tarun Gogoi and APCC president Bhubneswar Kalita in public places and later burnt down these alleging that the Congress party has been using the state as its dumping ground.

Oil well explodes in Sivasagar

Fear and panic seem to have struck Sivasagar town after an explosion at an oil well on Thursday.The explosion took place with a huge sound in the wee hours at the Oil Well NO 14 in Rudrasagar resulting in speedy emission of gas in the entire area. The explosion is believed to have taken place due to technical snag.Senior civil, police and ONGC officials arrived on the spot and started evacuating the local residents to ensure their safety. Hundreds of panic-stricken people in the area are leaving their homes from early in the morning. ONGC experts are trying to bring the situation under control.

ONGC faces protest

Local residents in the Rudrasagar area near the Sivasagar town blame it all on the ONGC authority for the explosion in the oil well on Thursday.They told Assam Times that they have been demanding withdrawal of the oil well from the thickly populated area. But the authorities have been downplaying the demands.“Had it been withdrawn earlier, this situation would not have taken place today,” said Nishant Bora who is leading a group of people to gherao the ONGC authorities.

Blockade against Arunachal

Surface communication between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh has come to a grinding halt from Thursday following the indefinite economic blockade in Bihali in protest against the firing incident at Chauldhuwa.Local residents in large number blocked the roads leading to the neeighbouring state disrupting the supply of essential commodities from early in the morning. Trucks carrying commodities to Itanagar town are remaining stranded on the road under the impact of the blockade.Talking to Assam Times, protestors said that they won’t leave the blockade until and unless the miscreants are brought to book. If the blockade is allowed to continue the neighbouring state would have to bear the brunt....

Escalating tension in Bihali

Tension seems to have escalated further along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border a day after at least ten people have been killed in miscreants’ firing at Chauldhuwa.Security forces are fanning in the nook and corner of the entire area to flush out the miscreants who started indiscriminate firing at a forest camp manned by around 400 people to prevent encroachment by the Arunachalese miscreants. Top ranked police and civil officials are camping in the area to strictly deal with further eventualities.
