Blockade against Arunachal

Surface communication between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh has come to a grinding halt from Thursday following the indefinite economic blockade in Bihali in protest against the firing incident at Chauldhuwa.

Local residents in large number blocked the roads leading to the neeighbouring state disrupting the supply of essential commodities from early in the morning. Trucks carrying commodities to Itanagar town are remaining stranded on the road under the impact of the blockade.

Talking to Assam Times, protestors said that they won’t leave the blockade until and unless the miscreants are brought to book. If the blockade is allowed to continue the neighbouring state would have to bear the brunt.
