NDFB-S not against peace process

The Songbijit faction of the NDFB said that the outfit organisation has not been stepping against peace process, but wanted it should not beat the cost community interest. 

The remark was observed and made out by B Saoraigwra, president of the outfit organisation on the occasion of the 27th Martyrs Day in an undisclosed location  where many senior leaders from the outfit and KLO thronged today. 

Contrary to the believe that Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) chief Jeevan Singh alias Timir Das, who was suspected to have been killed during the surprise cross-border assault on northeast insurgent camps by the elite para-commandos of the Indian army few months back was participated oncthe occasion of martyrs day at an undisclosed location. 

Amobg others senior NDFB-S leaders including I K Songbjit, former president of outfit, who was rumoured to have been ousted from the organizations, B Saoraigwra, the present president and general secretary B Ferenga and Foreign secretary and education secretary, deputy commander in chief were present. 

In a statement via e-mail to the media today, B Saoraigwra, predident of the outfit claimed that the outfits is still strong and rubbish the claimed of the security forces that the outfit is no longer a strong force after the Operation All Out.

He said the outfit will continue to work against the illegal migrants or illegal settlements who have occupied the land of the indigenous people making them a minority in their own land. He also  said over the years, Bodo and other tribal people who one comprised a proud and productive agricultural community have lost their land and had been reduced to landless agriculture labour and worse to beggary.

Saying that the outfit is not against peace process, he said but it should not be at the cost of the community interest. He stated that the government must accept historical right of the Bodos, political right, indigenous, right and self determination.

As many as 13 fishermen were arrested by Bhutan Royal Army on Tuesday inside deep jungle of Sarpang district of Bhutan while going illegally into the neighboring country.
