Birth centenary of Rani Gaidinliu celebrated

The centenary birth anniversary of Rani Gaidinliu, freedom fighter  was celebrated as Matri Sammelon(Mothers’ Meet) at Rastrabhasha Vidyapith High School in Kokrajhar on Sunday.

The anniversary was organised by the Purvottor Janajati Siksha Samiti to recall contribution and dedication of Rani Gaidinliu, towards freedom movement of India since her early childhood age and jailed several long years for participation in the movement.

Women community including mothers from various parts of the district took part in the function and shared their healthy paricipation while bringing awareness about integrated society in present day life in the country.

Sewly Mohilary,Managing Director,MRM Hospital, Kokrajhar graced as chief guest on the occasion. Mohilary, in her speech said that the society should go through well and equal share of responsibility in both men and women to build a healthy social uplift.Thre should not be feelings of difference in between son and daughter,both side should be treated equal and balance among society,She said.

Mohilary has lauded the bold steps taking from samiti and Ekal Vidyalaya organisers while bringing social growth and change through organising social awareness among society.

Rashmi Borgoyary,social worker,Jagyabati Mohilary,BTC CHD for Sports,Pranamika Sarma were prominent speakers on the function.
