Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma’s entry into BJP will put the people in utter confusion over the chief ministerial candidate.
Hours after Dr Sarma unofficially joined BJP, Gogoi said that if Sarma is made the chief ministerial candidate then what is in store for Sarbananda Sonowal and Siddharth Bhattacharya.
Talking to reports Gogoi wondered why and how Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma joined BJP a day after he was proud of his party’s victory in the Tiwa autonomous council polls.

The Dispur police have arrested a youth in Guwahati a couple of days after he in social media threatened to shoot dead Akhil Gogoi. The Dispur police have freed Anjan Bora after questioning in connection with his recent Facebook status claiming that a BJP lady legislator makes money by indulging in flash trade triggering anger and acrimony across the state. Noted educationist and author Dilip Kumar Baruah breathed his life following a brief illness' in Guwahati on Friday descending a pall of gloom across the state. He was 73. Baruah, who enjoyed a brilliant academic career completed his post graduate from Delhi University in Economics and joined Cotton College. Later, he retired as principal of the country’s premier college. An author Barua is also enjoyed no less veneration as quizmaster. His colleagues, friends, students and individuals thronged his house in the city as soon as the news of his sudden death spread like wildfire in the morning.
