Unity pledge on May Day

Assam joined May Day celebration on Monday where the working class pledged to fight against injustice to the workers engaged in the both organized and unorganized sectors.

Led by the trade unions, workers in the factories, business establishments and bank employees held huge rallies in capital city of Guwahati along with the district and sub divisional headquarters.

Working people in the various fields took out a procession in Guwahati reiterating their demands and asked the government to look into these demands.

The speakers in the rallies, mostly, the Left leaders strongly criticised the government both in state and Centre alleging that over the years they have done precious little for the working class.

They further urged the workers to remain united to force the government to look into the problems confronting them for years.
