Who is BJP's CM candidate: Gaurav

Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma’s entry into BJP will put the people in utter confusion over the chief ministerial candidate.

Hours after Dr Sarma unofficially joined BJP, Gogoi said that if Sarma is made the chief ministerial candidate then what is in store for Sarbananda Sonowal and Siddharth Bhattacharya.

Talking to reports Gogoi  wondered why and how Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma joined BJP a day after he was proud of his party’s victory in the Tiwa autonomous council polls.

After a huge gap peace initiative with United Liberation Front of Asom is set to move fresh. Newly appointed peace interlocutor Dineswar Sarma hunkered down with a team of pro talk rebel leaders in Guwahati on Wednesday. The Biswanath police have arrested two people on Saturday a day after the duo alleged to have attacked two neighbours for opposing to slaughter cattle nearby. Security forces are fanning in and around Gossaigaon sun division in Kojrajhar in search of NC Joshi a day after suspected   Santhal rebels kidnapped the senior officer of a tea garden in Guwahati. Police, however, recovered the abandoned vehicle belonging to Joshi in Chirang a couple of hours the rebels kidnapped him at gunpoint. The security forces on Wednesday arrested three youths in Pathankot area of Punjab when they were suspiciously moving in the area a day after the recovery of a bag contain some incriminating materials.
