Selection scam: Fresh raid at APSC

More and more stunning revelations seem to have surfaced in the APSC scam where many candidates procured job as top ranked civil and police officers for cash.

Acting on some fresh revelations, the police team probing the multi crore scam conducted a raid at them commission’s office at Khanapara in Guwahati on Tuesday and seized hundreds of answer scripts to probe the allegations against some more candidates to managed to get selection.

The policemen arrived in the office in the afternoon and then entered into the strongroom where they seized many answersctipts of a number of successful candidates who were recruited three years back.

According to sources, these answerscripts would be sent to the forensic laboratories to confirm thr allegations against some more candidates who had secret cash deal with chairman Rakesh Paul who is now in jail.

Notably, police have dispatched summons to 25 ACS, APS and other officers to be questioned at the Assam Administrative Staff College in this connection. If they fail make convincing reply they might be arrested.

Police have already arrested 11 people in this connection including chairman Rakesh Paul.
