Who is BJP's CM candidate: Gaurav

Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma’s entry into BJP will put the people in utter confusion over the chief ministerial candidate.

Hours after Dr Sarma unofficially joined BJP, Gogoi said that if Sarma is made the chief ministerial candidate then what is in store for Sarbananda Sonowal and Siddharth Bhattacharya.

Talking to reports Gogoi  wondered why and how Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma joined BJP a day after he was proud of his party’s victory in the Tiwa autonomous council polls.

In a statement he issued on Thursday, Sarma said he was pained to have learnt that his comment has shocked the cancer patients and their relatives. GUWAHATI:A special court in Guwahati on Thursday reserved the ruling on a set of bail pleas moved by over 20 ACS, APS and allied service officers who have been arrested in the APSC job scam. NAGAON: Four persons died and at least 25 others sustained injury when the passenger bus in which they were travelling collided it's head on a truck in Nagaon on Thursday. The accident took place early in the morning on the National Highway No 37 at Mensing area near Kaliabor where three passengers died on the spot. Another died as he along with injured others were rushed to a local hospital in Jakhalabandha. GUWAHATI:Veteran actor Biju Phukan is dead. He was 70. Phukan, the doyen of Assamese film world suddenly died of cardiac arrestin the afternoon.
