KLO militant killed in Fakiragram
Police claimed to have killed a dreaded KLO militant at an encounter in Kokrajhar district on Friday amid stepped up security in the run up to the Independence Day.
Identified as Rabi Roy, the KLO militant was killed as he was trying to plant a bomb on a railway track.
Police further claimed to have seized a 7 KG IED along with detonator, a 7.65 mm pistol, a magazine pistol and two hand grenades.

An emergency response mock drill was conducted by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) at Habrubari in Kokrajhar district on Friday,which was a part of offsite emergency mock on the IOCL Guwahati-Siliguri underground pipeline to test the preparedness of its emergency personnel.
