The wreckage of the Pawan Hans helicopter Tirap Deputy Commissioner Kamalesh Joshi was found at a remote area of Arunachal Pradesh where it crash landed on Tuesday.

The rescue operation made with three choppers along with a Sukhoi Jet locate the wreckage at Thinsa in the wee hours tracing a phone calls from Joshi to his wife at 2-10 in the afternoon. Senior officials arrived in the crash site and recovered the decomposed bodies in the morning.

The chopper went missing on Tuesday on its way to Khunsa from Longding. The last contact was established at 11-30 with Mohanbari airport. Initially, the search operation was concentrated at an area near Dalom where a section of local residents claimed to have heard the sound of a huge explosion in the sky.

But rescuers failed to trace it even after deployment of a Sukhoi Jet along with three other helicopters during the last six days.

Who said that decomposed bodies have been found? In other news reports nothing is said about the whereabout of the three occupants.

Home ministry’s joint secretary Sambhu Singh is on a two days stock-taking visit to the state in the wake of the Bihali incident where Arunachal Pradesh miscreants killed 11 villagers in Sonitpur district last week.Singh on Wednesday held a high level meeting with DGP Khagen Sarma at the Assam Police headquarters in the afternoon, who apprised him of the overall law and order situation.  He is scheduled to hold more meeting with civil and police officials on Thursday in Dispur.
The Assam government has written to the Central Bureau of Investigation to probe the Chauldhuwa incident where Arunachal Pradesh miscreants killed 11 villagers in Sonitpur district last week.Disclosing this, chief minister Tarun Gogoi told reporters in Dispur that his Arunachal Pradesh counterpart Nabam Tuki also wanted the probe to unearth the probe.According to him, altogether 11 villagers were killed and seven others have been remaining traceless.
Education minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday claimed that Congress and BPF candidates would win the Rajya Sabha poll. He said that no horse trading is required for it.Addressing a press conference in Dispur, Dr Sarma said that the results would be available on Thursday afternoon day before the poll.He said that the Opposition only pins hopes on 32 votes. APCC president Bhubneswar Kalita called on Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi in Dispur two days before the Rajya Sabha polls.The duo are believed to have discussed the Rajya Sabha polling on Friday. Later talking to reporters, Kalita said that Congress and its alliance BPF will comfortably win the polls.Congress has fielded Kalita and Dr Sanjay Sinh while its alliance BPF has fielded Biswajeet Daimary.
AIUDF president Badaruddin Ajmal on Wednesday asked his legislators to stay together in Guwahati to ensure that nobody can influence them for the Rajya Sabha polls.In his address at the legislators’ meeting in presence of opposition consensus candidate Haidor Hussain, Ajmal said that all of his legislators would vote for Hussian.According to him, the MLA now on foreign tour is arriving in Guwahati on Thursday to vote Hussain.
