The wreckage of the Pawan Hans helicopter Tirap Deputy Commissioner Kamalesh Joshi was found at a remote area of Arunachal Pradesh where it crash landed on Tuesday.

The rescue operation made with three choppers along with a Sukhoi Jet locate the wreckage at Thinsa in the wee hours tracing a phone calls from Joshi to his wife at 2-10 in the afternoon. Senior officials arrived in the crash site and recovered the decomposed bodies in the morning.

The chopper went missing on Tuesday on its way to Khunsa from Longding. The last contact was established at 11-30 with Mohanbari airport. Initially, the search operation was concentrated at an area near Dalom where a section of local residents claimed to have heard the sound of a huge explosion in the sky.

But rescuers failed to trace it even after deployment of a Sukhoi Jet along with three other helicopters during the last six days.

Who said that decomposed bodies have been found? In other news reports nothing is said about the whereabout of the three occupants.

Various parties and organizations seem to have upped ante on Ataur Rahman Majarbhuyan for his attempt to shy away from voting in the Rajya Sabha polls on Friday.As the news of his decision spread like wildfire, hundreds of people in his constituency came to the streets and burnt his effigy for refusing to toe on the party line.KMSS activists are fully prepared to stage dharna in front of his residence in Dispur and Katigarh in protest against his decision to avoid the poll.The MLA left for Saudi Arabia for haj and that’s why, he apprised the party leadership of his inability to arrive Guwahati in time. Then the party decided stern action against him as soon as he arrives.

Giving a new twist to the ongoing Rajya Sabha poll on Friday, AIUDF has informed that its legislator Ataur Rahman Majarbhuyan will be available in Guwahati to cast his vote.AIUDF leaders told Assam Times that the legislator from Katigarh who is on the way to Mumbai from Abu Dhabi is arriving in the city in the afternoon.His vote is most crucial to help Opposition consensus candidate Haidor Hussain win. Majarbhuyan told his PA over telephone on Thursday that he won’t be able to cast his vote in time. This was what gave Congress and BPF a sigh of relief.  
More trouble awaits Kamatapur Liberation Organization. The West Bengal police have captured two more top leaders of the Koch Rajbanshi militant outfits.According to information, after the vice chairman Tom Adhikary, police have arrested its deputy commander and finance secretary of the outfit from the Indo-Nepal border. In a major setback for Kamatapur Liberation Organization, security forces claimed to have captured its vice chairman on Thursday.Identified as Tom Adhikary, the top KLO leader was held along the Indo-Bhutan border on Thursday during a combing operation. Adhikary was the mastermind behind a recent blast in New Jalpaiguri where 3 people were killed.During the last couple of months KLO has been unleashing terror in BTAD areas in the form of murder and kidnap and extortion.     Adhikary was captured hardly a week after security forces claimed to have killed its top leader Brindabon Rajbanshi at an encounter in Kokrajhar.   
The Assam Public Service Commission has announced the results of the Assam Civil Service (Combined Competitive) preliminary exanimation it conducted across the state in December.According to the commission, 2, 900 candidates have been qualified for the mains examination out of altogether 42,000 appeared in it.The Mains examination is likely to take place in May or June to select around 350 candidates.
