Stock-taking visit

Home ministry’s joint secretary Sambhu Singh is on a two days stock-taking visit to the state in the wake of the Bihali incident where Arunachal Pradesh miscreants killed 11 villagers in Sonitpur district last week.

Singh on Wednesday held a high level meeting with DGP Khagen Sarma at the Assam Police headquarters in the afternoon, who apprised him of the overall law and order situation.

He is scheduled to hold more meeting with civil and police officials on Thursday in Dispur.
