In his renewed appeal to ULFA's anti talk faction, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Wednesday said that his government is all prepared for amnesty to Paresh Baruah, if the ULFA chief comes overground for talks.Addressing a press conference in Dispur, the chief minister said that if Baruah comes to fight the polls, would write to the Centre urging it to announce general amnesty. “Then he be able to do something for the people,” said the chief minister."Why don't you come back to fight for the people? Normal surface communication on the National Highway No 37 came to a grinding halt on Wednesday in parts of Nagaon and Morigaon districts Tiwa students blocked the road demanding measures under the Sixth Schedule under the Constitution. A delegation of British parliamentarians is likely to visit Assam as part of goodwill visit to India next year.
