Police have arrested yet another person in connection with the Burdwan blast in West Bengal on October 2. Identified as Zarakia Ali, the businessman in Barpeta was picked up three days back to be arrested on Thursday after marathon interrogation at the Special Branch office at Kahilipara in Guwahati. Karbi Anglong police held two dreaded NDFB-S militants during an intensive operation on Thursday. Despite heavy presence of security forces Guwahati has become a safe route for a section NDFB-S militants to be shifted to Myanmar. Police on Thursday captured five dreaded NDFB-S militants from three different places during an operation against the banned outfit.Three militants were held at ISBT before leaving for Nagaland en route to Myanmar while two others were arrested from the Guwahati Railway Station while they were waiting to leave for Dimapur by train. Another dreaded militant has surrendered before the police on Thursday.They have been identified as Rabilal Narzary alias Shayaram Narzary, Amit Boro alias Paban, Protap Narzary, Sanjib Basumatary and Kishna Daimary.
